Kum Ba Ya

Take Me To Post Comment Form

I can't remember a politician as out of touch with the needs of her State and Country since the 2008 and 2012 elections as is Michelle Nunn. The latest "USA Today" poll shows that jobs, healthcare and Federal budget issues top the list of voter priorities. Yet what Nunn considers important are that Senators not be allowed to become lobbyists, that they not be paid if they don't pass a budget, and their healthcare not be subsidized.  The rest of her campaign is based on her grandmother taking her to church and teaching her that people should be nice to each other, even in the nation's capital. Those campaign planks may be laudable, but they show how out-of-touch Nunn and her party are with the real issues and actions required to restore our Country to its proper place of world leadership and prestige.  And with those planks, if Nunn weren't running on her father's name, we wouldn't even know she's in the race.We don't need to send someone to Washington to hold hands and sing Kum Ba Ya.  We need leaders who will address the issues important to our country and its citizens.

This is not about Petula Clark’s great 1966 hit record, but rather an item on the 11Alive evening news broadcast last night which caught my attention… A lady in Coweta County received a letter in the mail soliciting her participation as a “Mystery Shopper.” All she had to do was ...

Considering the provisions of Senator ...
