Take Me To Post Comment Form

There is a reason New York City is one of the most visited places on the planet. With so many things to see and do New York City is a delight for all the senses. Whether you are an art lover, a theatre buff or just a people watcher, you will find plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained when you visit the city.

There are so many famous places to visit while in New York, the hardest part may be knowing where to start. If you are new to the city, you might want to start your visit by getting the lay of the land via a virtual reality ride. This attraction will allow you to visit the most famous landmarks in New York City, from the newly completed Freedom Tower and the Empire State Building to the green spaces of Central Park.

When you are done with your virtual reality tour of New York City, you can move on to the real thing and start exploring its many landmarks and iconic places. You may want to start with a trip to the famous Statue of Liberty, a venue that has welcomed visitors from around the world for more than a hundred years. Be sure to stop by Ellis Island to learn about the history of immigration.

While in southern Manhattan be sure to drop by the newly completed Freedom Tower. You can visit the memorial museum dedicated to the World Trade Center and 9/11, then take a high speed elevator to the top of Freedom Tower for a breathtaking view of the city.

The Freedom Tower may be the newest landmark in New York City but it is certainly not the only one. There are plenty of wonderful places to explore while in the city from the world class art and natural history museums to the iconic hotels and shops that line Fifth Avenue.

Be sure to leave plenty of time to wander through Central Park and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city from its many lawns and green spaces. You can enjoy a meal at one of the many food courts, or venture out to one of the city's iconic restaurants.

If you visit in the wintertime, be sure to stop by Rockefeller Center and check out the famous skating rink. Even if you do not skate, you will have fun watching the skaters and enjoying the beauty of New York during its white winter.

At other times of year Rockefeller Center is still a great place to visit. You can browse through the shops, do some people watching outside the offices and just enjoy a wonderful day in this iconic city.
