Newton 4-H Livestock Team members Kari Dylong (Cousins Middle), Dustin Nichols (Indian Creek Middle), and Austin Nichols (Mansfield Elementary) competed at the show on the campus of UGA on Saturday, December 13.
Temperatures dipped so low overnight that water left out at the barn froze before registration at 6 a.m. on Saturday!

As a 4-H'er, I remember decorating Mr. Clyde Taylor's green truck with a Christmas tree as we rode in the Covington Christmas parade.

We have the best jobs...
When school is out for a few days, people comment that we must be relieved to not have 4-H meetings for a few days.

Oak Hill takes top honors in 4-H for Sept-Oct
Congratulations to the top ten Cloverleaf clubs in Newton County 4-H for September-October!
Ms. Dowdy's club at Oak Hill Elementary snagged the top spot out of 63 clubs. The club also turned in 100% of Friends books and signed newsletters for the last two months!
ALL SIX clubs at Oak Hill Elementary made it into the top ten!
The spots not yet listed have club meetings ...

Newton County 4-H'ers make a real impact when they work on a common goal!
This Saturday, Junior 4-H'ers (7th & 8th grades) will haul this busload of pop tabs to Rock Eagle 4-H Center during Junior Conference. All pop tabs are donated for recycling to the Ronald McDonald Houses of Georgia.
